  • A long long day at KLIA

    Last week, I took a long drive to the town where I started my first job and my family. Many changes took place since I left the town six years ago. We stayed in the latest hotel in town. A food court and shopping centre is under the same roof make meal and shopping easy. The only regret was not able to try the "best Kam Pua" which was strongly recommended by J1. The hotel room was very comfortable. Spent all the 5 nights on the floor was not a problem as the carpet looks clean and puffy. I had good time of fellowshipping with my mother and two sisters. The very sumptuous dinner from my best friend and family make this business trip very fulfilling and complete. The sunset in this town is always so beautiful.

    After completed my one week assignment at Bintulu, drove all the way to Kuching. It was a long drive. When we drove past Sugai Tengan, the hot sun seems to take a early break for the day. The storm was with us all the way to Kuching. It delays our arrival time to Kuching by at least 45 minutes.

    On my way home, left Kuching at 10:40am and reached KLIA 10 past 12 noon. The connecting flight to Kuantan will be at 17:20. Follow by another 2 hours taxi trip. Foooo…!

    I will be home to have a good rest and ready for work tomorrow.

    This morning, I received the birthday greeting each from J1 and J3 not forgetting the one from my partner right after mid night. Wonder what is going on with J2? Seem very busy and homely yet full of program and always occupied. Just hope that they will continue to walk with good and stay faithful. God had bring me this far and full of events and blessing, I am sure He will do the same if not more for these 3Js.(Pure blessing from God bring JOY to the family and the people around them).

  • Outing with the Singapore Hainan Church

    It was a week ends that I was rated as one of the few “young people” in the church outing. A group of elder brothers and sisters with their Pastor came over to Air Jernih to reach out to the local Hainan families. The theme is "A day outing at the beach and that include transport, and with a 5+1 courses lunch" for just RM3 ! Hard to believe right?

    Looking at their age, they are still having the heart to serve and that really encourage me. As one of the local support, we support the group where ever we can. The team visited Rantau Abang to visit the turtle century , Dungun town to shop for some salted fish and the later at the Dungun beach where Pastor share the love of Christ to the local who come alone to the outing.

  • Chinese New Year just passed. This year it was a very special one to me and I was very very touch by what Jesse did for both of us. He gave us each a Any Paw, his special aunty and both grandmas. I do not know how to express but I suppose when you are in my position, you can feel what I felt. Two months back he was back to the town where he grew up. In our memory, he is always the cute little one. May be that is why people say their children never grow up in their memory. Ant at time it become a nagging issue to them when we are just too afraid to let them go, let them take some risk to learn.

  • The memory lane....

    Last month, the 10 hours journey from Kuching to Bintulu in the old Wira with Jesse brought back many memories in my life. It was 24 years ago that I landed in this town. This was the town where I started my first job, bought my first house, my first car and brought up my family. Time passed so fast that now I am in the same town but I am actually with the next generation..........................

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

    Last two weeks was good as we were able to have some good family time together both in Bintulu and Kuching. We drove off in our new Myvi and it was a bumpy ride to Bintulu. The car is very spacious at the passengers area but short of some luggage space. I suppose the eagerness to see Jesse kept us going and going. At one point I almost throw out. This is the first time that I had such a feeling after a long time.

    Spending a week at our best friend's house enjoying the warm hospitality and catching up since our last visit about 3 years ago. Later part of the week, we had fellowship dinner with many brothers and sisters in Christ. The feeling was so good. At time wish that the time can be remended there and enjoying life with good friends around us.

    This trip, we did a lots of shopping and enjoyed the sea food there. Almost everything is half price!

    We also make a day trip to Miri and see quite a lots of changes in the town. The trip also tell me that the children are already grown up as I am now the back seat passenger for the whole journey. Many adjustment are on the way and have to learn to make changes and make it fast.
